Our story
From analytics consultancy to AI-powered insight at scale
ZK Analytics was founded in Oxford in 2014 to bring social science and data science closer together.
From the beginning, our work has focused on helping organisations make better decisions from complex evidence. We have worked across evaluation, market research, policy analysis, behavioural research and data science, combining rigorous methods with practical advice.
The shift into AI came from a practical research problem. We were asked to extract insight from tens of thousands of pages of operational documents: work that would have been too slow, costly and inconsistent using conventional manual methods alone. The challenge was not simply speed. The process also had to remain consistent, traceable and repeatable.
That became the foundation for our approach to AI.
We built tools that apply AI within a researcher-controlled process. Social science defines the method: the questions, variables, coding rules, evidence standards and edge cases. AI provides the scale and consistency of execution. Researchers remain responsible for judgement, interpretation and advice.
Today, ZK Analytics combines social science, data science and secure AI to help organisations make better use of information they already hold but cannot easily analyse. We turn large, messy bodies of information into evidence that is clear, auditable and ready for decision-making.
